# Read the PRESERVED manifest (markers intact) MCP section, user tools and extension settings

> Return the PRESERVED persisted manifest's MCP section, user tools and extension settings, markers intact.

No secret is resolved — the source an MCP config editor reads so it can round-trip
markers instead of baking a resolved secret. Same view (MCP section, user tools and extension settings) as
``get_manifest`` — both serve the preserved read; this explicit ``/preserved`` door names that
no-resolve contract in its path.

The ``mcp`` entries carry their raw ``!ENV ${KEY}`` markers intact
        (unresolved config entries, NOT a

resolved ``TaiMCPConfig``), and so do the extension settings, so no
secret value ever leaves on the wire.

``extensions`` maps a tool base-name to its list of combos in the
contract's normalized shape; a combo element

is an extension name or a ``{"name", "config"}`` mapping whose config
        values keep their ``!ENV`` markers.
