# Set an MCP server's tool selection

> Set the ``include`` and ``exclude`` of the ``mcp`` entry named ``title`` and hot-reload the fleet.

Every other key of the entry is kept as stored. An unknown title is a 404; unpicking a tool
something still uses is a 409, and a server that cannot be listed for that check a 502.

        itself; a worker the

roll did not reach, and every listed worker of a change that rolls
        nothing, keep their keys.

``span_release_error`` is ``null`` when the config store released its

exclusive write span after the persist; otherwise the store's error —
        the change landed and

the reload, broadcast and roll reported here still ran, but the store
